Before I saw this video my understanding of the origins of most Palestinians was that the vast majority of them migrated to Israel over the past 150 years from Syria or other neighboring countries.
However this video claims that there is a high percentage of local Palestinians who actually have Jewish traditions and practices and were converted to Islam 200 years ago by the Turks, which is interesting.
